Information on the Safety & Security Faculty
National Diploma: Policing - NQF 6
The qualification is made up of the following modules which are done over a period of 12 months.
National Diploma:
Advanced Communication, Regulatory Framework, Service Delivery, Operational Police Management, Financial and Human Resources Management, General Resolving of Crime.
Private Security Services, SAPS Officers, Metro Police Officers, VIP Protection, Risk Analyst.
Practicals will be organized by the College and upon completion a certificate will be issued (Firearm Competency Certificate). Upon successful completion of the studies and practical’s, a certificate will be issued from the Department of Higher Education & Training through the Safety And Security Seta (SASETTA).
National Certificate: Crime Resolving - NQF 5
The qualification is made up of the following modules which are done over a period of 12 months.
National Certificate:
Criminal Investigation principles, Information Management, Administrative and Communication Skills, Crime Scene & Incidents, Investigation methods & principles, Vehicle Crime Investigation
Private Security Services, SAPS Officers, Metro Police Officers, Risk Analyst.

National Certificate (N1-N2):
Legal Principles and Practice, Business Principles and Practice, Office Support and Administration, Research Methodology, Aspects of Finance and IT
Various positions in the Government & Municipalities, Executive secretary, Legal Secretary, Private Investigators, SAPS Officers, Metro Police Officers, Forensic Investigators, Loss Control Officers
Upon successful completion of the studies and practical’s, a certificate will be issued from the Department of Higher Education & Training through the Safety And Security Seta (SASETTA).
National Certificate: Private Investigation NQF 5
The qualification is made up of the following modules which are done over a period of 12 months.
National Certificate:
Regulatory Framework & Legislation, Understanding the criminal justice system, Investigation, Administration and ethics.
Private Investigators, SAPS Officers, Metro Police Officers, Forensic Investigators, Loss Control Officers, Risk Analyst.

The qualification is made up of the following modules which are done over a period of 12 months.

Protection services, Professional services, Physical techniques, Soft skills, Firearms.
